Current Volunteer Needs

Facility Painting

Help us continue our painting of the inside of our residential facility. This includes painting hallways, common rooms and residential rooms. This is a great project for a large group! We can provide paint and supplies as needed.

Serve/Provide Dinner

Join our men for a meal! We love for volunteer groups to come by our facility to provide and/or serve dinner for our guys. These dinners serve as a regular reminder that there are countless folks in the community who care for them, believe in them, and want to back them on their road to recovery.

Not only do these dinners support Matthew 25 financially and operationally, but more importantly it gives a weekly boost to the spirit and morale of the men we serve. It is hard to describe how much simple camaraderie can improve the outlook of a man who is working through personal adversity.

Kitchen Cleaning

Our commercial kitchen is a busy place that provides meals for up to 65 men each day. It can always use a good deep cleaning! This is a good project for individuals or small groups who want to help out our kitchen staff.

Storage room organization

We store lots of items at our facility, from linens, to clothes, to donated goods. We are fortunate to receive regular donations and can always use help keeping things neat, tidy and efficiently organized.

Transportation for our men

Many of the men in our Transitional Housing Program do not have their own vehicles. You can assist them by offering a ride to a doctor’s appointment, run basic errands, etc. Instead of waiting on the bus or paying for a ride share, they can save time and money by utilizing your care and support!

Advocacy

One of the best ways to support our mission is through advocacy. By spreading the word about our work, you are not only supporting us, you are helping us to grow and strengthen our connection with the community. From spreading the word on social media, to personally inviting people to events, to leveraging personal networks, you can inspire others to engage with our ministry. By communicating our goals and successes, you can help us attract new resources, donors, and partners who are drawn to our mission!
